One day he went to visit Maryam Zakaria in his cell,
to bring food and drinks teachings, as
happened every day. It was a winter day when he entered and found himself in front of her
a plate full of summer fruits, fresh figs and grapes
, as the wise tell. Zakaria
the churches where they came from these fruits and she said
"I have been given by Allah the Almighty." Zakaria
knew it was a miracle because the fruits were fresh but
off season and then the suspicion
penetrated his heart. If they had not,
would have thought that someone had managed to secretly make a copy of the key
cell
Maryam and went to visit him when he was absent. For several days the
miracle continued, and every time he went to the Zakaria
find, met with a plate of fresh fruit,
as narrated in the Qur'an:
"Every time I entered the sanctuary Zakaria was at her food
. He said: "O Mary, where does this
?". He said: "On behalf of Allah." In truth
Allah gives without counting those who want to. "(The Family of Imran
, 37).
Mary's words in Arabic read something like this
"Qalat huwa min 'then Allah' inna Allaha yarzuqu many
'u bighayri hisab-yasha." In many mosques,
these words are engraved calligraphy or around the mihrab, the niche
where the imam prays to commemorate the miracle
happened to Mary, "purified and chosen above the women
the world" (The Family of Imran , 42).
